Henk de Pater has over twenty years of experience of working in renewable energy projects for both employers and contractors. At BLIX he works as a Senior Consultant for our offshore wind clients and as a Package Manager Balance of Plant for several onshore wind farms.

Henk is a highly skilled international Project Manager for the contracting and construction of offshore and onshore wind farms. He acted as Risk Manager for offshore wind projects in Taiwan and is responsible for the contracting of the civil and electrical works of onshore wind farms in The Netherlands. Other roles Henk has had in offshore wind projects include technical manager, deputy project director, wind turbine package manager, tender- and engineering manager and fabrication manager.

“A project is successful when it meets the three main criteria: on time, on budget and with the required quality. The key factors for meeting these main criteria are highly depending on the team and the team spirit. My goal is to strike a good balance between the ‘blue side’: details, interfacing, project knowledge, processes and structure and the ‘human side’: management, well-being, motivation and responsibilities of team members.”
