Willemijn van der Werf is Director Business Development for BLIX Asia. She has been working in sustainable business development for more than twelve years now, but started in commercial positions at KLM Cargo in 2002. After a few years abroad for KLM, she decided to dedicate her working life to sustainable innovations. At first, also at KLM, developing sustainable biofuels and connecting the values of the ‘green’ NGO world with the commercial KLM as Corporate Manager Environmental Strategy.

Thereafter, Willemijn continued her experience in developing sustainable innovations at LanzaTech; she worked on the implementation, financial feasibility, and societal acceptance of the usage of waste streams for fuels and chemicals. In 2016 she started at TNO as Senior Business Developer Circular Economy, focusing on the materials transition in the built environment, encountering the same environmental, societal, and financial challenges.

In spring 2020 she started working as Director Business Development Asia from our Taipei office in Taiwan.
