BLIX provided support for the Mermaid wind farm project for the coast of Belgium. Managing the geotechnical campaign, completing the design basis and managing the tender for detailed design, negotiating the IAC (Infrastructure as Code)  and FND (E)PCM (Engineering, Procurement and Construction Management) contract for the Balance of Plant for Mermaid.

Asset management strategy for an offshore substation (MOG 1) and tendering of related O&M contracts.

BLIX provided:

  • the analysis of several options of scope split in several lots;
  • an allocation of risks and opportunities, logistics and contract management;
  • a detailed cost estimation during the O&M of the platform in different scenarios over 40 years.

BLIX executed in collaboration several FMECA sessions. The result was an asset management strategy which provided Elia the necessary certainty, competitive costs and flexibility.
